Artisan Guild Painting Contest - December - Part 5

My entry for the Artisan Guild painting contest is finally finished. This is probably one of the models I have used the most time on the last couple of years :)

I'm very happy about the final result, it ended up looking exactly as I wanted it to and even the homemade smoke looks as I wanted it to. The mushrooms is from a kickstarter I participated in some time ago, but they really suited the model and I'm really satisfied that I decided to add them to the base.

The model is mostly painted with Scale 75 Colors and a bit of Formula P3. This is the first larger model where I have used the Scale 75 paints and they are absolutely fantastic, these paints has really improved my single model painting skills significantly.

I have used a lot of pigments for the base and for adding rust effects and a bit of weathering around the model.

When I made the furnaces on the shoulders I was a bit worried that it was a mistake to paint them with fire starting from a white and ending in a dark red before it turned to smoke, but after I finished the model I really like the effect. The smoke is made using stuffing for teddy bears sprayed with a dark red and then a black. This is the reason that there are red in the center of the smoke (a bit difficult to see on the pictures but IRL it's there).

Well I cant wait to paint more of Artisans models. They are simply fantastic, absolutely the best patreon I have joined for getting 3d printable standard sized models for painting and tabletop gaming.

I'll let the pictures speak for them self, hope you all enjoy them. Feel free to leave a comment or send a message if you have any questions.
