My Story

Hi everyone, let me introduce myself. My name is Kim and I live in the northen part of Denmark. I work as a teacher on a private school where I teach math, physics, chemestry, biology, geography, history and  woodwork.

In 2010 I bought a house/farm together with my wife. As I have always liked building stuff and some of my projects requires a lot of space so I decided to rebuild the old stable and create a large game room, arcade room, slot car room and boardgame/RPG room.

I have a lot of different hobbies, and like to consider myself kind of a jack of all trades. 3D Printing, miniature painting, slot car racing, scale models, DIY arcade machines, tabletop games, electronics and woodworking projects are among some of my current interests. As long as I can build something or make something with my hands I'm happy :)

I also run a gaming club once a week together with my wife. Here people of all ages meet and play a lot of different games. We even have a formula one championship in our racing simulators and during the summertime we open up for the arcade room and the slot car racing club so there is a lot going on.

Asgaard Games Gaming Club

The Game Room was the first room I finished. This is the place where our club "Asgaard Games Gaming Club" meet once a week and play all kind of games. We have a lot of computers for regular games. CSGO is popular among our younger members as is League of Legends, but we also have a large fanbase around L4D2 and Killing Floor 2. Beside the gaming computers we have 8 racing simulators. Each year we have an awesome Formula 1 Championship.

The Legendary Arcade

The second room I finished was The Legendary Arcade. I remember the first time I saw an good old arcade machine, it was in a local zoo where they had a room full of these magical machines. Since then I always wanted to get one myself, my dad even located a used one but it was too expensive. About an year later I got a Commodore 64 and after that am Amiga 600 followed by my first PC, but the dream about a good old arcade machine remained. In 2010 I finally decided to take matters into my own hands so I build my very own arcade machine "Project Odin", at the time I didn't have a lot of money so all the eletrical parts and the wood for the frame was bought with recycle money from empty bottles. Today building arcade machines is one of my favorite hobbies and I am beginning to have quite an collection. Once a year we host a great 80's party in the arcade room where we have a lot of fun, play on the old machines and watch really bad movies from the 80's (good times).

World of Slot Cars

Slot Cars are great fun for both young and old. My dad always wanted to have a model train layout and I'm pretty sure that I inherited his joy for mechanical scale models. I like model trains but currently my dedication is race cars. I always wanted to build a nice fixed slot car track but a project like that requires a lot of room. Luckily I have almost finished my slot car racing room. The track itself is a WIP and it will properly always be as I can always find a small part that needs improvement.
